NIW LIFE Strategy™ is a form of Premium Finance aimed to assist high net worth clients (clients with a net worth in excess of $10M) in obtaining genuinely needed life insurance for estate planning purposes. The concept also has applications in key-man insurance, buy-sell agreements and executive benefits. NIW predominantly focuses on clients below the age of 70.
The client can get needed insurance using assets as collateral and NOT have to liquidate assets to pay premiums and/or interest. If the design delivers on this, then the client gets the benefit of insurance but without incurring the prohibitive costs that might have previously deterred them from purchasing it.
